Revised Introduction to the Series: The Names of God
Date: January 15, 2026
Bible Verse: “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:10)
Message:
The names of God reveal His character, His power, and His relationship with us. Each name tells a story of who God is and how He works in our lives. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, God’s names invite us to trust Him, worship Him, and experience His presence in every aspect of life.
I remember when my daughter, daughter, was born. We prayed over her name, wanting it to reflect strength, beauty, and purpose. As we prayed, the name Jael from the Bible stood out. A woman who acted decisively in God’s plan. Pairing that with Lynn, meaning “beautiful,” gave her a name rich in meaning. Similarly, God’s names reveal His deep purposes and plans, each one a reflection of His love for us.
This series will explore the many names of God, starting with the Old Testament names in Hebrew. We’ll look at well-known names like Jehovah Jireh, as well as lesser-known ones like Baal Perazim. Then, we’ll transition to New Testament names such as Alpha and Omega, each pointing to the fullness of who God is.
Let this journey through God’s names deepen your faith and help you experience His presence in new and powerful ways.

Revised Blog 441: Jehovah Jireh. The Lord Will Provide
Date: January 22, 2026
Bible Verse: “So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.'” (Genesis 22:14)
Message:
Jehovah Jireh, meaning “The Lord Will Provide,” first appears in Genesis 22 when God provides a ram as a substitute sacrifice for Isaac. This name reminds us of God’s faithfulness to meet our needs in every situation.
Years ago, I faced a season of financial uncertainty. It was during that time that I clung to the name Jehovah Jireh. I remember praying over bills I didn’t know how to pay and trusting God to make a way. Time after time, He showed up, not always how I expected, but always on time.
Provision in Testing: Abraham’s faith was tested, but God showed His faithfulness by providing exactly what was needed at the right time.
Provision in Christ: Jehovah Jireh ultimately points to Jesus, the Lamb of God, who was provided as the perfect sacrifice for our sins.
Provision in Daily Life: Whether financial, emotional, or spiritual, God promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Calling on Jehovah Jireh reminds us to trust God’s timing and provision, knowing He is faithful to care for us.
Reflection Questions:
When have you experienced God’s provision in your life?
How can trusting Jehovah Jireh give you peace in times of uncertainty?
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Teach me to trust in Your provision, even when I can’t see the way forward. Help Kneel Ministries encourage others to rely on Your faithfulness. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
