Trusting God in the Unknown

Today marks another anniversary, but this one is different. It’s the first one without my wife, and the weight of not understanding why still presses on me. The silence and the distance are hard, and yet, I’m clinging to God’s promise that He is near to the brokenhearted.

Though this day feels heavy, I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness. He has carried me through this season, strengthening me in ways I never expected. Ministry, family, and prayer have been my anchors, and I’ve seen His hand in moments of comfort and grace.

I don’t have all the answers, but I trust that God is still at work, even in the silence. He is writing a story I can’t fully see yet, and I’m choosing to remain faithful to Him and to the commitments I made, believing that His plans are good.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you trust God when you don’t understand what He’s doing?
  2. What practices help you draw closer to Him during seasons of uncertainty?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being near to the brokenhearted. Teach me to trust You in this season, even when I don’t understand. Help me to remain faithful to You and to find hope in Your promises. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
