Sharing the Gospel in Everyday Life

Sharing the gospel doesn’t always require a formal setting or a planned presentation. Often, it happens in the ordinary moments of life. During a conversation with a coworker, a kind gesture to a neighbor, or even while helping a stranger.

Be Intentional: Look for opportunities to share Christ in your daily interactions. A simple comment about God’s faithfulness can open the door to deeper conversations.

Live Authentically: Your actions often speak louder than your words. When others see Christ reflected in your life, they’ll be more open to hearing your message.

Trust the Holy Spirit: You don’t have to have all the answers. Trust God to guide your words and use your efforts to plant seeds of faith.

Evangelism is not about pressure or perfection… it’s about being faithful to share the hope you have in Christ.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you incorporate sharing the gospel into your daily routine?
  2. Who in your life needs to hear about God’s love?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the opportunities to share Your love in everyday moments. Teach me to be intentional, authentic, and Spirit-led in my interactions with others. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to shine Your light in all they do. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Moses: Trusting God’s Timing

Moses is one of the most iconic figures in the Bible, yet his journey to leadership wasn’t straightforward. From being raised in Pharaoh’s palace to living as a shepherd in Midian, Moses spent decades waiting before stepping into God’s plan to deliver Israel.

When God called Moses from the burning bush, Moses hesitated. He questioned his ability and even tried to argue with God. But God reminded him that the mission wasn’t about Moses’s strength… it was about God’s power. With every plague, parting the Red Sea, and provision in the wilderness, God proved that He was in control.

Moses’s story reminds us that God’s timing is perfect, even when it feels slow. He uses seasons of waiting to prepare us for His purpose. When we trust His plan and step out in faith, we discover that His strength is more than enough.

Reflection Questions

  1. Are there areas in your life where you feel like you’re waiting on God? How can you trust His timing?
  2. How does Moses’s story encourage you to step out in faith despite your doubts?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the example of Moses and the reminder that Your timing is perfect. Teach me to trust You in seasons of waiting and to rely on Your strength when You call me to act. Help me to walk in faith, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Declaring God’s Word Over Difficult Situations

When facing challenges, praying and declaring Scripture over your situation reminds you of God’s sovereignty and promises. His Word never returns void and brings peace, hope, and victory to the darkest circumstances.

Pray for Peace: Declare “The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7) when anxiety threatens to overwhelm you.

Pray for Strength: Speak “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) when you feel weak or discouraged.

Pray for Provision: Declare “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19) over financial or material struggles.

Praying Scripture over difficult situations focuses your heart on God’s faithfulness and invites His power to work in miraculous ways.

Reflection Questions

  1. What challenges in your life need the promises of God spoken over them?
  2. How can you use Scripture to shift your focus from your problems to God’s power?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the power of Your Word that never returns void. Teach me to declare Your promises over every difficult situation, trusting in Your faithfulness and sovereignty. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to stand firm on Your Word in every trial. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Why Does God Allow So Many Religions?

The existence of many religions often leads people to question why God would allow such diversity if only Christianity is true. While this is a challenging question, the Bible offers insights that help us address it.

Human Free Will: God created humanity with the freedom to choose, including the freedom to worship Him or create false religions. This freedom is necessary for genuine love and faith.

Deception of the Enemy: Scripture warns that Satan seeks to lead people astray through false teachings (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Many religions, while offering partial truths, ultimately diverge from the one true God.

God’s Patience: God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). The existence of many religions reflects humanity’s search for God, and His patience gives us time to share the truth of the gospel.

Understanding why God allows many religions helps us engage others with compassion, pointing them to the truth of Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you lovingly explain why Christianity is unique among world religions?
  2. What steps can you take to share the gospel with people of different beliefs?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the truth of the gospel and for Your patience with humanity. Teach me to engage others with compassion, sharing the hope of salvation found only in Jesus. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to point people to the one true God. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Barnabas: The Encourager

Barnabas, whose name means “son of encouragement,” is one of the unsung heroes of the New Testament. Known for his generosity, faith, and support of others, Barnabas played a vital role in the early church.

In Acts 9, when the disciples were hesitant to trust Saul (later Paul) after his conversion, it was Barnabas who vouched for him. Later, he partnered with Paul on missionary journeys, strengthening believers and spreading the gospel. Even when Paul and Barnabas parted ways, Barnabas continued to encourage others, including John Mark, who would go on to write the Gospel of Mark.

Barnabas reminds us of the importance of encouragement in the body of Christ. Whether through words, actions, or presence, we can inspire others to persevere in their faith and calling. His story challenges us to be people who lift others up and point them to God.

Reflection Questions

  1. Who in your life could use encouragement, and how can you offer it?
  2. How can you develop a habit of speaking life into others?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the example of Barnabas and his heart for encouragement. Teach me to be a source of strength and inspiration to those around me. Help me to reflect Your love by building others up and pointing them to You. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Discovering Myself in the Pain

When my wife left, it forced me to take a hard look at myself. It’s easy to focus on someone else’s actions or shortcomings, but God used that time to call out things in me that needed to change.

Through prayer, journaling, and honest conversations with trusted friends, I began to see areas where I had grown complacent or missed the mark. It wasn’t easy. Admitting my own faults felt like adding salt to an already deep wound. But God reminded me that His discipline is an act of love, meant to refine and restore us.

This season of self-discovery has been humbling. I’ve learned that God doesn’t waste our pain. He uses it to shape us into who He’s calling us to be. While I wouldn’t have chosen this path, I’m grateful for how He’s been changing me, one step at a time.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you invite God to search your heart during difficult seasons?
  2. What areas of your life might He be calling you to grow or change?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me enough to refine me, even when it’s hard. Teach me to embrace Your discipline and to trust in the work You’re doing in my life. Help me to grow into the person You’ve called me to be, reflecting Your grace and love in everything I do. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Does Marijuana Make God’s Voice Clearer? A Biblical Response

Some people claim that using marijuana helps them hear God more clearly, describing heightened spiritual experiences or revelations while under its influence. While these feelings may seem genuine, it’s crucial to evaluate such claims through the lens of Scripture.

God’s voice is not dependent on altered states of mind. In John 10:27, Jesus assures us that His sheep hear His voice. This promise is based on our relationship with Him, not on external substances. The Holy Spirit speaks to us through prayer, Scripture, and a heart attuned to God… not through mind-altering chemicals like THC.

THC may heighten sensory perceptions, but it can also distort reality, leading to confusion rather than clarity. The Bible warns us to remain sober-minded and alert (1 Peter 5:8), which is essential for discerning God’s guidance. When our minds are clouded, we risk misinterpreting or attributing our own thoughts to God.

True clarity comes from being in God’s presence with an open heart and a sound mind. The Holy Spirit, not marijuana, is the one who leads us into all truth (John 16:13). By relying on Him, we can trust that God’s voice will always be clear, even in the quiet and stillness of our hearts.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you rely on the Holy Spirit to hear God’s voice rather than external substances?
  2. What practices help you attune your heart and mind to God’s guidance?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for speaking to us through Your Word and the Holy Spirit. Teach me to listen to Your voice with a clear and sober mind. Help me to trust in Your guidance and to discern Your will without relying on anything but You. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Feeling Closer to God on Marijuana: A Biblical Perspective

Some people claim that using marijuana helps them feel closer to God or more engaged in worship. While these feelings may seem real, it’s essential to evaluate them against the truth of Scripture. Genuine worship flows from the Spirit of God, not external substances.

The Bible calls us to worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:24). This means approaching Him with clarity of mind, sincerity of heart, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. Substances like THC may create temporary feelings of euphoria, but they can also impair judgment and distract from true spiritual connection. God doesn’t need us to alter our state of mind to encounter Him… He meets us as we are.

Feelings alone aren’t a reliable indicator of spiritual closeness. True intimacy with God comes through prayer, studying His Word, and living in obedience to Him. While emotions are a part of worship, they should flow naturally from our relationship with God, not from external influences.

Marijuana can cloud our ability to hear God’s voice and follow His guidance. The Holy Spirit is sufficient to lead us into deeper worship and connection with the Father. By trusting in Him, we can experience the fullness of God’s presence without relying on substances.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you ensure that your worship is led by the Holy Spirit rather than external influences?
  2. What steps can you take to deepen your relationship with God in a sober-minded way?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of worship and the intimacy we can have with You through the Holy Spirit. Teach me to seek You with clarity of mind and sincerity of heart. Help me to trust in Your presence and to rely on Your Spirit for true connection and worship. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Can Marijuana Be Used to Glorify God? (Part 3)

As Christians, we are called to glorify God in everything we do, including our health and lifestyle choices. This raises the question: Can marijuana be used to glorify God? While some argue that its medical benefits can honor Him, the recreational use of marijuana often leads to outcomes that contradict biblical principles.

Glorifying God means seeking His will in every aspect of our lives. This includes remaining sober-minded (1 Peter 5:8), avoiding things that enslave us (1 Corinthians 6:12), and honoring Him with our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). THC’s psychoactive effects often impair judgment, hinder spiritual growth, and create dependencies that conflict with these principles.

For medical purposes, Christians should seek wisdom and prayerfully consider alternatives that align with God’s design. If marijuana or any substance becomes a crutch or distraction from God, it ceases to glorify Him. Ultimately, our goal is to reflect Christ in all we do, trusting Him as the source of true peace and healing.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you ensure your health and lifestyle choices glorify God?
  2. What steps can you take to avoid dependence on substances for comfort or peace?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for calling me to glorify You in every part of my life. Teach me to seek Your will and to make choices that honor You. Help me to avoid anything that distracts me from Your purpose and to trust in You as my source of peace and healing. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

God Made It, So Isn’t It Good? (Part 2)

Another popular argument for marijuana use is, “If God made it, it must be good.” While this statement seems logical on the surface, it overlooks an important biblical principle: not everything created by God is beneficial or intended for our use.

Scripture repeatedly emphasizes that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We are called to honor God with our bodies, avoiding anything that harms or controls us. THC, the psychoactive component in marijuana, can alter our mental state, impair judgment, and lead to dependence. These effects are inconsistent with God’s design for sober-minded living (1 Peter 1:13).

It’s important to differentiate between God’s creation and human misuse. Just as alcohol, opioids, and other substances can be abused, marijuana’s effects depend on how it’s used. As Christians, we must ask: Is this glorifying God and drawing me closer to Him, or is it becoming a stumbling block in my faith?

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you discern whether something is beneficial and aligns with God’s design?
  2. What does honoring God with your body look like in your daily life?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the wisdom found in Your Word. Teach me to honor You in all I do, including how I care for my body and mind. Help me to discern what is beneficial and to avoid anything that draws me away from You. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
