A Legacy of Faithfulness

Today, on my birthday, I find myself reflecting on what it means to leave a legacy of faithfulness. Jason, in the Bible, stood firm in his faith and supported the work of God, even when it came at great personal cost. His quiet courage and unwavering obedience inspire me to ask: Am I living a life of faithfulness to God?

Faithfulness isn’t about perfection; it’s about perseverance. It’s about trusting God in every season, using what He has given you to serve His kingdom. Whether it’s through ministry, parenting, or everyday interactions, we are called to live with integrity, love, and purpose.

Looking back on this year, I see areas where I’ve fallen short and areas where God has been so faithful despite my weaknesses. I pray that as I continue to grow, I will honor Him more fully and leave a legacy that reflects His goodness and grace.

Reflection Questions

  1. What steps can you take to live more faithfully to God’s calling?
  2. How can you honor Him in the small, everyday moments of your life?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the example of Jason in the Bible and for calling me to a life of faithfulness. Teach me to persevere in serving You, even when it’s hard. Help me to leave a legacy that honors You and points others to Your love and grace. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Faithful in the Unknown

This birthday feels different from any I’ve ever had. I haven’t spoken to my wife in over six months. The only times I’ve seen her have been brief, formal encounters in court. I don’t fully understand why things are the way they are, and the silence weighs heavily on me.

Yet even in the unknown, I’m choosing to remain faithful, to the Lord, to the promises I made in my marriage, and to the calling He’s placed on my life. There are days when the confusion and pain feel overwhelming, but God’s Word reminds me to trust Him with all my heart, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Serving God in this season hasn’t been easy, but it’s been my anchor. Leading in ministry, pouring into others, and staying connected to His Word have given me strength. Though I don’t have all the answers, I know that God sees the bigger picture, and He’s working even in ways I can’t see.

Jason, in the Bible, reminds me of the importance of staying faithful in difficult seasons. He didn’t let the opposition he faced shake his commitment to supporting the gospel. In the same way, I’m choosing to hold fast to God’s promises, believing that His plans are good, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you remain faithful to God and His calling, even in seasons of silence and confusion?
  2. What scriptures or spiritual practices help you stay anchored in faith when you don’t understand what’s happening?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being my refuge and strength in the unknown. Teach me to trust You with all my heart, even when I don’t understand. Help me to remain faithful to You and to the commitments I’ve made, knowing that You are always working for my good and Your glory. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Trusting God in a New Season of Loss

This birthday is different. It’s my first one without my wife. The loss and changes over the past year have been painful, and there are moments when the weight of it feels overwhelming. Yet, in the midst of the heartache, God has been near.

I’ve seen His faithfulness in ways I didn’t expect. He’s surrounded me with friends and family who remind me that I’m not alone. He’s given me strength to keep moving forward, even when I don’t feel like it. And He’s drawn me closer to Him, showing me that His grace is truly sufficient.

Jason’s story in the Bible inspires me again. Despite the challenges he faced, he stood firm in his faith, trusting God to work through the difficulties. I want to live with that same faith, believing that God will use this season for His glory and my good.

Reflection Questions

  1. How has God shown His presence and faithfulness during your seasons of loss?
  2. What steps can you take to trust Him more deeply in your pain?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being close to the brokenhearted. Teach me to trust You in this season of loss, knowing that You are faithful and near. Help me to find hope in Your presence and strength in Your promises. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Faith and Science: Are They Compatible?

A common misconception is that faith and science are incompatible. Many believe you must choose one or the other, but the truth is, faith and science complement each other. God is the Creator of both the natural world and the laws that govern it, and science helps us understand His creation.

Order in the Universe: The precision and complexity of the universe point to an intelligent Designer. From the fine-tuning of physical constants to the intricate design of living organisms, science reveals God’s fingerprints.

Christian Scientists: Throughout history, many of the greatest scientific discoveries have been made by Christians who viewed their work as exploring God’s creation. Isaac Newton, Johannes Kepler, and Gregor Mendel are just a few examples.

Science Points to God: While science can explain how things work, it cannot answer ultimate questions like why we exist or who created the universe. These answers are found in Scripture and point to God as the source of all life.

Faith and science are not enemies, they are partners in revealing the majesty of God. By embracing both, we can better understand His power, creativity, and love.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you use scientific discoveries to point others to God’s existence and creativity?
  2. What steps can you take to learn more about the relationship between faith and science?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the beauty and complexity of Your creation. Teach me to see science as a way to understand Your majesty and to share this truth with others. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to defend their faith while appreciating the wonders of science. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Shiphrah and Puah: Defying Evil with Courage

Shiphrah and Puah may not be household names, but their courage in the face of evil played a critical role in God’s plan to deliver Israel. As midwives in Egypt, they were ordered by Pharaoh to kill all Hebrew baby boys. But instead of obeying, they chose to fear God and protect innocent lives.

Their defiance wasn’t just an act of civil disobedience; it was a declaration of faith. They risked their own lives to obey God rather than man. As a result, they not only saved countless children but also played a role in preserving the line through which Moses, Israel’s great deliverer, would be born.

Shiphrah and Puah’s story reminds us that obedience to God often requires courage, especially when it goes against the norms or orders of the world. Their actions demonstrate that even in the smallest roles, our faithfulness can have eternal significance.

Reflection Questions

  1. In what areas of your life is God calling you to stand up for what is right?
  2. How can you trust Him to give you courage when faced with difficult decisions?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the courage of Shiphrah and Puah and their obedience to You. Teach me to fear You above all else and to stand firm in faith when faced with difficult choices. Help me to trust that my obedience, no matter how small, can be used for Your glory. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

When the Playlist Changes Your Path

The Priceless Minute. Episode

I’ve always loved music. Back in the day, I had entire albums memorized. 90s rap. 2000s pop. Even some country… though I didn’t admit that out loud very often. Growing up in Oklahoma and Arkansas, it was almost unavoidable.

But I started to notice something. The more I let the old playlists sneak back in, the more my mindset shifted. One sad song led to another. One breakup anthem brought back feelings I thought were gone. And before I knew it, the music was feeding my emotions instead of my spirit.

I’ve seen the pattern in others too. People start strong in their faith. They fall in love with worship, with lyrics that lift their heads and strengthen their hearts. But slowly, the old stuff creeps in. Songs that glorify sin. That normalize lust, pride, rage, or hopelessness. And without realizing it, they start drifting. Their attitude changes. Their choices follow.

It’s not about legalism. It’s about spiritual alignment. I found Christian rap that hit just as hard as the stuff I used to blast. Worship that stirred my soul more than any heartbreak ballad ever could. And praise that pushed back the lies I was starting to believe.

Your playlist is preaching something. So ask yourself… is it truth, or is it trash?

Philippians 4:8 says to think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. That includes what we let echo in our minds. That includes what’s playing in our car, in our earbuds, in our homes.

Reflection Questions

  1. Does your current playlist feed your faith or fuel your flesh?
  2. Is it time to make some hard but holy changes?

Bible Promise: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of music. Help me to be discerning in what I let into my mind and spirit. Show me when it’s time to let go of something that no longer honors You. Let my praise be pure and my choices reflect the truth I believe. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

The Uniqueness of Christianity: Why Jesus Is the Only Way

In today’s world, many believe that all religions are equally valid paths to God. But Christianity makes a bold and exclusive claim: Jesus is the only way to salvation. This uniqueness sets Christianity apart from every other religion.

A Relationship, Not Rules: Unlike other religions that focus on rituals, works, or enlightenment, Christianity is about a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He invites us into fellowship with Him, offering grace and forgiveness.

God’s Initiative: Every other religion involves humanity striving to reach God. Christianity is the only faith where God came to us, in the person of Jesus, to save us (John 3:16).

The Resurrection: Christianity is the only religion with a risen Savior. The resurrection of Jesus is a historical event that validates His claim to be the Son of God and the only way to eternal life.

Defending the uniqueness of Christianity is not about arrogance but about pointing people to the truth of Jesus. In Him, we find the only source of true hope, salvation, and eternal life.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you lovingly and confidently share the uniqueness of Christianity with others?
  2. What aspects of Jesus’ life and message stand out to you as evidence of His divinity?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Teach me to share the uniqueness of Christianity with humility and love, pointing others to the truth of Your Word. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to boldly proclaim that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

What Are You Listening To?

The Priceless Minute. Episode

Music is powerful. It stirs emotions, shapes moods, and even lodges itself in our memory. That’s why we can still quote songs we haven’t heard in decades, word for word.

But here’s the problem: many songs today glorify sin, promote impurity, or mock holiness. Even if they’re not explicit, they often carry values that are subtly toxic. Lust. Greed. Pride. Rebellion. These messages don’t just entertain… they influence.

I used to justify it by saying, “I like the beat,” or “It’s just a song.” But over time, I realized my spirit was being desensitized. I caught myself humming lyrics that didn’t line up with God’s truth. I wasn’t guarding my heart, I was leaving the door wide open.

I’m not saying every non-Christian song is evil. But I am saying this: we need to be intentional. If you’re filling your ears with the world all week and wondering why you can’t hear God clearly, maybe it’s time to turn down the noise.

Worship doesn’t begin on Sunday. It begins in the choices we make every day. And music? It’s not just background noise. It’s a spiritual soundtrack.

Bible Promise:

If we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. (James 4:8)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to guard what I allow into my heart. Convict me when I begin to compromise and remind me that worship is more than a song, it’s a lifestyle. Tune my ears to Your voice and help me love what is holy. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all of the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

The Resurrection of Jesus: The Cornerstone of Faith

The resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of Christianity. If Christ did not rise, as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:17, our faith is futile. Yet, the evidence for the resurrection is both compelling and transformative.

Historical Evidence: The empty tomb, the transformation of the disciples, and the spread of Christianity all point to a risen Savior. The disciples, who once fled in fear, boldly proclaimed the resurrection even unto death, a testimony to the truth of what they witnessed.

Eyewitness Accounts: The Gospels record numerous appearances of Jesus after His resurrection, including to over 500 people at once (1 Corinthians 15:6). These accounts provide credible testimony that Jesus defeated death.

Changed Lives: From Paul’s radical conversion to the testimonies of believers today, the resurrection continues to change lives. The risen Christ offers hope, forgiveness, and eternal life to all who believe.

The resurrection is not just an event in history… it’s the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope. As we defend its truth, we proclaim the victory of Christ over sin and death.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you share the evidence for the resurrection with those who doubt?
  2. What difference does the resurrection make in your daily life and faith?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the victory of the resurrection and the hope it brings. Teach me to share this truth with boldness and joy, pointing others to the risen Savior. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to defend the resurrection and live in its power. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

When Love Feels Different

Scripture

Psalm 147:3 (ESV)
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Valentine’s Day looks different in different seasons of life.

For some, it is a day filled with joy and celebration. For others, it can be a quiet reminder that life has taken unexpected turns.

Sometimes relationships change. Sometimes the future we imagined shifts in ways we never anticipated.

Those moments can bring questions, uncertainty, and even heartbreak.

But the love of God never changes.

While human relationships can falter, God’s love remains constant. His presence remains steady even when our hearts feel unsettled.

In seasons where love feels complicated, God gently reminds us that our identity and worth are not defined by circumstances.

They are defined by Him.

Even in difficult seasons, God continues to work in ways we cannot always see.

Bible Promise

Lamentations 3:22–23 (ESV)
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can we trust God when our expectations for life change?
  2. What does it look like to find hope in God during difficult seasons?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, when our hearts feel heavy or uncertain, remind us of Your constant love. Help us trust You through seasons we do not fully understand. Heal the places that feel broken and guide us forward with hope and peace. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all of the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
