Praying for Others

Intercessory prayer is a selfless act of love. When we pray for others, we partner with God in their lives, standing in the gap and asking for His will to be done. It’s a way of bearing one another’s burdens and reflecting Christ’s compassion.

There have been times when I felt powerless to help someone I cared about, but prayer reminded me that I could bring their needs before God. Interceding for others deepened my faith and gave me a sense of peace, knowing that God was at work in ways I couldn’t see.

Praying for others not only blesses them but also transforms our own hearts. It helps us see people through God’s eyes and strengthens our trust in His ability to provide, heal, and restore.

Reflection Questions

  1. Who is God calling you to intercede for in prayer?
  2. How has intercessory prayer impacted your relationships and faith?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the privilege of interceding for others in prayer. Teach me to carry the needs of those around me to You, trusting in Your power to provide and heal. Help me to reflect Your compassion and love through my prayers. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Celebrating Our Daughter’s Sixth Birthday

Today we celebrated our daughter’s sixth birthday… a milestone filled with laughter, joy, and so much love. Watching her blow out her candles, surrounded by friends and family, I couldn’t help but reflect on how precious she is to us and how much God has blessed our family through her life.

She has always had such a kind and compassionate heart, even at her young age. Whether it’s her endless curiosity about the world or the way she lights up any room she enters, she is a constant reminder of God’s goodness.

As parents, my wife and I pray daily for her to grow into the woman God has created her to be… strong, wise, and full of faith. We see glimpses of that already, and it’s such a joy to watch her grow.

Reflection Questions

  1. What specific qualities of your child remind you of God’s goodness?
  2. How can you celebrate milestones in ways that point your family to Christ?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the precious gift she is and for the joy she brings to our family. Teach me to guide her with wisdom and love, pointing her to You in all I do. Help her to grow in strength, grace, and faith as she becomes the person You’ve called her to be. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

The Importance of Fellowship

Fellowship with other believers isn’t just a nice addition to our faith… it’s essential. When we gather together, we encourage one another, strengthen our faith, and remind ourselves of God’s love.

During seasons of isolation, I’ve learned how much I need the body of Christ. Whether through small groups, Sunday worship, or conversations with a trusted friend, community has been a source of strength and growth in my spiritual walk.

God designed us for connection, and He works powerfully through His people. When we prioritize being with other believers, we create space for Him to encourage, equip, and challenge us in our faith.

Reflection Questions

  1. How has fellowship with other believers strengthened your faith?
  2. What steps can you take to prioritize gathering with your church community?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of fellowship and the encouragement of other believers. Teach me to prioritize gathering with Your people and to grow in faith through community. Help me to spur others on toward love and good deeds. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

The Foundation of Prayer

Prayer is the heartbeat of the Christian life. It’s how we connect with God, seek His guidance, and align our hearts with His will. In the Bible, we see prayer as the foundation of every significant move of God, from Moses interceding for Israel to the early church praying for boldness.

Prayer is not just about asking for things, it’s about relationship. It’s a conversation with our Creator, who invites us to approach Him with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). As we devote ourselves to prayer, we align our lives with His purposes and experience His power in ways we never imagined.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you make prayer the foundation of your daily life?
  2. What specific prayers has God answered in your life recently?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of prayer and for inviting me to come boldly before You. Teach me to make prayer the foundation of my life and to trust in Your power and faithfulness. Help Kneel Ministries inspire others to build their lives on prayer. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Trusting God with the Unknown

When my wife left, I felt like I was standing at the edge of an unknown future. Everything I thought I knew about my life, my family, and even myself was shaken. I had no idea what was next or how to navigate the pain, but one thing became clear. I couldn’t do it on my own.

Trusting God with the unknown wasn’t easy. It meant surrendering control and admitting that I didn’t have all the answers. It meant choosing faith over fear, even when my circumstances screamed otherwise.

One moment that sticks out is when my daughter started junior high. I wanted to protect her from the instability and confusion we were all feeling, but I couldn’t. All I could do was pray and trust that God would guide her steps and carry us both through this season.

Scripture often reminds us that God calls people forward even when the future is unclear. When Joshua stepped into leadership after Moses, he faced an overwhelming responsibility and an uncertain road ahead. Yet God gave him a simple promise.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, and do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

God’s promise to Joshua reminds us that we’re never alone. Even when the future feels uncertain, His presence goes with us, giving us the strength and courage to face whatever lies ahead.

Reflection Questions

  1. What unknowns in your life are you struggling to trust God with?
  2. How can you lean on His promises to find strength and courage?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for being with me in the unknown. Teach me to trust You with every part of my life, even when I can’t see what’s ahead. Help me to be strong and courageous, knowing that You are faithful and that You walk with me through every season. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all of the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
