The world we live in today looks nothing like it did even a decade ago. Values shift, trends change, and what was once right is now questioned. For Christians, navigating a world that seems to grow more distant from biblical truth can feel overwhelming. But in the midst of all this uncertainty, there’s one thing that never changes: God.
I remember feeling disheartened after a conversation with someone who dismissed the idea of absolute truth. They said, “Everything’s relative now. What’s true for you isn’t true for me.” I walked away questioning how to stand firm in my faith when the world around me seemed to be crumbling. That night, I opened my Bible to Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Those words were like an anchor in a storm. They reminded me that while everything else changes, God remains constant.
Standing firm in a changing world doesn’t mean shouting our beliefs from the rooftops or condemning those who disagree. It means living out God’s truth with love, humility, and unwavering faith. It means being a light in the darkness, showing others that there is a solid foundation in Christ.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being my constant in a world that is always changing. Teach me to stand firm in Your truth and to reflect Your love in all I do. Help me to be a light in the darkness, pointing others to the unchanging hope we have in You. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
