Joy: Strength in Every Season

Joy isn’t the same as happiness. While happiness is based on circumstances, joy is rooted in God’s presence and promises. It’s a deep, abiding strength that carries us through every season. Good and bad.

There have been times in my life when joy felt impossible. During moments of loss, disappointment, or uncertainty, I’ve cried out to God, asking, “How can I find joy in this?” Yet, even in those seasons, I’ve seen how His presence brings a peace and strength that surpasses understanding.

Joy doesn’t mean we ignore pain or pretend everything is okay. It means we trust God’s goodness and faithfulness, even when life is hard. It’s about finding our strength in Him, knowing that His plans are for our good.

The Holy Spirit cultivates joy in us as we focus on God, worship Him, and trust His promises. No matter what we’re facing, we can choose joy because we know our hope is secure in Christ.

Lord, thank You for the joy that comes from knowing You. Teach me to find strength in Your presence and to trust Your promises, even in challenging seasons.
