Valentine’s Day often reminds us of romance. Flowers, dinner reservations, handwritten cards. It’s a day when many people pause to express appreciation for someone they love.
But love is built long before a holiday arrives.
Real love grows in everyday moments. It shows up in conversations after long days, in encouragement when someone feels discouraged, and in the quiet choices we make to put someone else before ourselves.
Marriage is one of the places where that kind of love is meant to grow. Two people learning to walk through life together, supporting each other, forgiving each other, and pointing each other toward Christ.
Love in a marriage is not sustained by feelings alone. Feelings come and go. Real love is sustained by commitment, grace, patience, and the daily decision to honor the covenant God created.
Valentine’s Day is a wonderful reminder to pause and say “I love you.” But the greater calling is to live those words every day.
The strongest marriages are not the ones that avoid difficulty. They are the ones that keep choosing love through every season of life.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of love and for the families You have placed in our lives. Help us show patience, kindness, and grace to the people closest to us. Teach us to love faithfully in both the easy moments and the challenging ones. May our homes reflect Your love and Your truth. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all of the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
