Parenting: Teaching Truth in a Confused World

Raising children in today’s world can feel overwhelming. With so many competing voices and influences, how do we guide them in God’s truth? Proverbs 22:6 offers encouragement: when we train up our children in the ways of the Lord, we lay a foundation that will last a lifetime.

Parenting isn’t about perfection; it’s about consistency. Teaching truth means having honest conversations about what the Bible says, modeling godly behavior, and creating an environment where faith is lived out daily. It also means equipping our kids to discern truth from lies, helping them navigate a culture that often contradicts God’s Word.

One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is a deep understanding of who God is and who they are in Him. By planting seeds of faith and truth, we trust God to grow them into the men and women He has called them to be.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the privilege of parenting. Teach me to guide my children in Your truth and to model a life of faith and obedience. Help me to trust You with their hearts and futures, knowing that You are the ultimate Shepherd of their lives. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
