Jesus calls us to seek God’s kingdom and righteousness above everything else, trusting Him to provide for our needs. This isn’t about neglecting our responsibilities… it’s about prioritizing God’s purposes over our own desires.
There was a season in my life when worry consumed me. I focused on trying to control everything. Finances, relationships, and future plans. But as I meditated on this verse, I realized I was seeking my kingdom, not God’s. When I surrendered my plans to Him and sought His will first, I experienced peace and provision in ways I never expected.
Seeking God’s kingdom means aligning our goals, actions, and desires with His Word. It’s trusting that He knows what we need and will provide in His perfect timing. When we put Him first, we discover that everything else falls into place according to His plan.
