Revised Introduction to the Series: The Names of God

Date: January 15, 2026

Bible Verse: “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:10)

Message:

The names of God reveal His character, His power, and His relationship with us. Each name tells a story of who God is and how He works in our lives. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, God’s names invite us to trust Him, worship Him, and experience His presence in every aspect of life.

I remember when my daughter, daughter, was born. We prayed over her name, wanting it to reflect strength, beauty, and purpose. As we prayed, the name Jael from the Bible stood out. A woman who acted decisively in God’s plan. Pairing that with Lynn, meaning “beautiful,” gave her a name rich in meaning. Similarly, God’s names reveal His deep purposes and plans, each one a reflection of His love for us.

This series will explore the many names of God, starting with the Old Testament names in Hebrew. We’ll look at well-known names like Jehovah Jireh, as well as lesser-known ones like Baal Perazim. Then, we’ll transition to New Testament names such as Alpha and Omega, each pointing to the fullness of who God is.

Let this journey through God’s names deepen your faith and help you experience His presence in new and powerful ways.

Reflection Questions:

Which name of God has been most meaningful to you in your life?

How does knowing God’s names deepen your relationship with Him?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for revealing Yourself through Your names. Teach me to trust in Your character and to call on You with confidence, knowing that You are everything I need. Help Kneel Ministries guide others to discover the power of Your names. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
