Discovering Myself in the Pain

When my wife left, it forced me to take a hard look at myself. It’s easy to focus on someone else’s actions or shortcomings, but God used that time to call out things in me that needed to change.

Through prayer, journaling, and honest conversations with trusted friends, I began to see areas where I had grown complacent or missed the mark. It wasn’t easy. Admitting my own faults felt like adding salt to an already deep wound. But God reminded me that His discipline is an act of love, meant to refine and restore us.

This season of self-discovery has been humbling. I’ve learned that God doesn’t waste our pain. He uses it to shape us into who He’s calling us to be. While I wouldn’t have chosen this path, I’m grateful for how He’s been changing me, one step at a time.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you invite God to search your heart during difficult seasons?
  2. What areas of your life might He be calling you to grow or change?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me enough to refine me, even when it’s hard. Teach me to embrace Your discipline and to trust in the work You’re doing in my life. Help me to grow into the person You’ve called me to be, reflecting Your grace and love in everything I do. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Trusting God in the Unknown

Today marks another anniversary, but this one is different. It’s the first one without my wife, and the weight of not understanding why still presses on me. The silence and the distance are hard, and yet, I’m clinging to God’s promise that He is near to the brokenhearted.

Though this day feels heavy, I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness. He has carried me through this season, strengthening me in ways I never expected. Ministry, family, and prayer have been my anchors, and I’ve seen His hand in moments of comfort and grace.

I don’t have all the answers, but I trust that God is still at work, even in the silence. He is writing a story I can’t fully see yet, and I’m choosing to remain faithful to Him and to the commitments I made, believing that His plans are good.

Trusting God in a New Season of Loss

This birthday is different. It’s my first one without my wife. The loss and changes over the past year have been painful, and there are moments when the weight of it feels overwhelming. Yet, in the midst of the heartache, God has been near.

I’ve seen His faithfulness in ways I didn’t expect. He’s surrounded me with friends and family who remind me that I’m not alone. He’s given me strength to keep moving forward, even when I don’t feel like it. And He’s drawn me closer to Him, showing me that His grace is truly sufficient.

Jason’s story in the Bible inspires me again. Despite the challenges he faced, he stood firm in his faith, trusting God to work through the difficulties. I want to live with that same faith, believing that God will use this season for His glory and my good.

Faithful in the Unknown

This birthday feels different from any I’ve ever had. I haven’t spoken to my wife in over six months. The only times I’ve seen her have been brief, formal encounters in court. I don’t fully understand why things are the way they are, and the silence weighs heavily on me.

Yet even in the unknown, I’m choosing to remain faithful, to the Lord, to the promises I made in my marriage, and to the calling He’s placed on my life. There are days when the confusion and pain feel overwhelming, but God’s Word reminds me to trust Him with all my heart, even when the path ahead is unclear.

Serving God in this season hasn’t been easy, but it’s been my anchor. Leading in ministry, pouring into others, and staying connected to His Word have given me strength. Though I don’t have all the answers, I know that God sees the bigger picture, and He’s working even in ways I can’t see.

Jason, in the Bible, reminds me of the importance of staying faithful in difficult seasons. He didn’t let the opposition he faced shake his commitment to supporting the gospel. In the same way, I’m choosing to hold fast to God’s promises, believing that His plans are good, even in the midst of uncertainty.

It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

The Authority of the Bible: Why Trust Scripture?

The Bible is the foundation of the Christian faith, but many question its authority. How can we trust a book written thousands of years ago? Apologetics helps us answer these questions and defend the Bible’s reliability and divine inspiration.

Inspired by God: As 2 Timothy 3:16 tells us, Scripture is “God-breathed.” It is not merely a human book but a divine revelation, written by men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21).

Historically Reliable: Archaeological discoveries, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, confirm the accuracy of biblical texts. The New Testament, in particular, has more manuscript evidence than any other ancient document, ensuring its reliability.

Transformational Power: The Bible’s ability to change lives is unmatched. Millions have experienced its truth and power, finding hope, direction, and salvation through its pages.

Trusting the Bible means trusting God’s ability to preserve His Word for us. It is a foundation we can stand on with confidence, knowing it points us to Christ and equips us for every good work.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you use the evidence for the Bible’s reliability to strengthen your faith and share it with others?
  2. What verses or stories in Scripture have transformed your life?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Word and for preserving it for generations. Teach me to trust Scripture and to defend its truth with boldness and humility. Help Kneel Ministries equip believers to rely on Your Word as the foundation of their faith. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Creation vs. Evolution: Defending the Biblical Account

The debate between creation and evolution is one of the most significant challenges Christians face today. As believers, we stand firm on the biblical account of creation, trusting that God is the author of life and the universe. Genesis 1:1 declares that everything begins with God, a foundational truth that shapes our worldview.

While science is a gift from God and helps us understand His creation, theories like evolution often conflict with the Bible. Apologetics equips us to address these conflicts with both faith and reason. By studying evidence for intelligent design, the intricacies of life, and the fine-tuning of the universe, we can show that belief in a Creator is not only reasonable but also supported by science.

Engaging in these conversations requires humility, patience, and a focus on glorifying God. It’s not about proving others wrong but about pointing them to the Creator who loves them.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you balance faith and reason when discussing creation with others?
  2. What resources can you use to deepen your understanding of the biblical account of creation?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being the Creator of all things and for revealing Your truth through both Scripture and creation. Teach me to defend the biblical account of creation with wisdom, humility, and love. Help Kneel Ministries to equip others to share Your truth boldly and graciously. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

The Patience of Discipleship

Discipleship is a journey, not a sprint. Growth in faith and character takes time, and as disciplers, we’re called to be patient and loving with those we’re guiding. Ephesians 4:2 reminds us of the importance of humility, gentleness, and patience in our relationships with others.

Patience in discipleship means celebrating small victories and trusting God to work in His timing. It’s easy to become discouraged when progress seems slow, but discipleship is about the process, not the speed. Just as God is patient with us in our growth, we’re called to extend that same grace to others.

Patience also requires prayer. When we bring the people we’re discipling before God, we’re reminded that He is the one doing the work in their hearts. Our role is to be faithful, consistent, and supportive, trusting Him with the results.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you practice patience in your discipleship relationships?
  2. What prayers can you lift up for those you’re discipling as they grow in their faith?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being patient with me and for teaching me to extend that same patience to others. Help me to trust Your timing in the discipleship process and to love those I’m guiding with humility and grace. Bless Kneel Ministries as we seek to disciple others for Your glory. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Ask, Seek, Knock

Jesus invites us into a life of persistent prayer and trust in God’s faithfulness. The progression of asking, seeking, and knocking emphasizes active faith. A faith that believes God hears, answers, and provides according to His will.

There was a time in my life when I felt stuck, unsure of the next step. I prayed for direction but felt like nothing was happening. It wasn’t until I began seeking God’s Word and knocking on opportunities He placed before me that I saw His plan unfold. God didn’t just give me what I asked for… He gave me something better.

Asking is bringing our needs to God. Seeking is pursuing His will through prayer and His Word. Knocking is taking steps of faith, trusting that He will open the right doors. When we approach Him with persistence and trust, we experience His perfect timing and provision.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you practice asking, seeking, and knocking in your relationship with God?
  2. What steps of faith might God be calling you to take as you trust Him for answers?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for inviting me to bring my needs to You in prayer. Teach me to ask with faith, seek with determination, and knock with trust in Your perfect timing. Help me to rely on Your wisdom and provision in every situation. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Trusting God in Seasons of Anxiety

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, like a weight pressing down on your chest. I’ve experienced moments when my mind was racing with worries about the future, relationships, or things completely out of my control. In those moments, I’ve learned that the best thing I can do is turn to God.

1 Peter 5:7 invites us to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us. This isn’t just a suggestion, it’s a promise. God is intimately aware of what we’re going through, and He wants us to lay our burdens at His feet. When I’ve taken this step, I’ve found that His peace replaces my fear, even if my circumstances haven’t changed.

Anxiety is a reminder of our need for God. Instead of letting it consume us, we can use it as an opportunity to draw closer to Him, trusting in His care and provision. He is our refuge, and in His presence, we find rest for our souls.

Reflection Questions

  1. What specific anxieties can you cast on God today?
  2. How can you create a habit of turning to Him in moments of worry?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for caring about every detail of my life. Teach me to cast my anxieties on You and to trust in Your love and faithfulness. Help me to find peace in Your presence and to rest in the knowledge that You are in control. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.

Discipleship at the Heart of Kneel Ministries

At the heart of Kneel Ministries is a commitment to discipleship. The foundation for this comes from the model of Paul, Barnabas, and Timothy. A framework that reflects the importance of guiding, sharpening, and investing in others to carry forward the mission of Christ.

Paul represented the mature leader, pouring wisdom into Timothy. Barnabas symbolized encouragement, walking alongside Paul as an equal. Timothy, in turn, was the next generation being equipped to lead others. This cycle of discipleship is how the church grows, strengthens, and fulfills the Great Commission.

Discipleship isn’t a one-time program or a task to check off a list… it’s a lifelong process of walking alongside others, teaching them to know and follow Christ while equipping them to disciple others. As Kneel Ministries focuses on prayer, discipleship, apologetics, and evangelism, our goal is to create a movement of faithful followers who multiply disciples in their communities.

Reflection Questions

  1. How can you apply the Paul, Barnabas, and Timothy model to your own discipleship efforts?
  2. Who are the people in your life that you can invest in, walk alongside, or learn from?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the foundation of discipleship and the example of Paul, Barnabas, and Timothy. Teach me to pour into others, encourage my peers, and be open to learning from those ahead of me in faith. Help Kneel Ministries to create a movement of disciples who glorify You. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
