The resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of Christianity. If Christ did not rise, as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:17, our faith is futile. Yet, the evidence for the resurrection is both compelling and transformative.
Historical Evidence: The empty tomb, the transformation of the disciples, and the spread of Christianity all point to a risen Savior. The disciples, who once fled in fear, boldly proclaimed the resurrection even unto death, a testimony to the truth of what they witnessed.
Eyewitness Accounts: The Gospels record numerous appearances of Jesus after His resurrection, including to over 500 people at once (1 Corinthians 15:6). These accounts provide credible testimony that Jesus defeated death.
Changed Lives: From Paul’s radical conversion to the testimonies of believers today, the resurrection continues to change lives. The risen Christ offers hope, forgiveness, and eternal life to all who believe.
The resurrection is not just an event in history… it’s the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope. As we defend its truth, we proclaim the victory of Christ over sin and death.
