I’ll never forget this birthday, the world feels so uncertain as the pandemic unfolds. Fear and anxiety seem to be everywhere, and yet, I’m reminded that God is our refuge. He is unchanging in a world that feels anything but stable.
This season has brought unexpected blessings, too. With the slower pace, I’ve had more time to pray, reflect, and spend quality time with my wife and daughter. We’ve leaned into our faith together, reminding ourselves that God is still in control, even when life feels chaotic.
As I reflect on this day, I’m reminded of Jason in the Bible, who stood firm in his faith despite opposition. Like him, we’re called to trust God in the midst of uncertainty. I pray that we all use this time to grow closer to Him and to shine His light in a world that desperately needs hope.
Reflection Questions
- How has God shown Himself to be your refuge during uncertain times?
- What steps can you take to trust Him more deeply in this season?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being my refuge and strength. Teach me to trust You in uncertain times, knowing that You are always in control. Help me to use this season to grow in faith and to share Your hope with others. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
