TV shows today often portray sin as normal, acceptable, or even glamorous. Whether it’s promiscuity, dishonesty, or other moral compromises, these behaviors are frequently woven into storylines in ways that make them seem harmless or justified.
The more we expose ourselves to these messages, the more we risk becoming desensitized. What once shocked us can start to feel normal, and what once convicted us can become easier to ignore. As Christians, we must guard against this gradual erosion of our values.
Choosing TV shows that align with biblical principles doesn’t mean avoiding all secular content. It means being discerning. Ask yourself: Does this show challenge my faith, or does it encourage me to grow closer to God? When we prioritize His truth, we protect our hearts and minds from the subtle normalization of sin.

Prayer
Lord, thank You for the wisdom of Your Word that helps me discern what is good and true. Teach me to recognize and avoid content that normalizes sin, and help me to focus on what draws me closer to You. I give You all honor, all the glory, and all the praise. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen & Amen.
